The pickup has original winds and unbroken solder. Just because 'vintage Fender mojo in an 'affordable' package'. The tone pot dates to the 25th week of 58, the volume pot date is covered in solder but theres no evidence of the solder being broken so i'm confident that its original to the guitar. Then again, Fender just reissued the Duo-Sonic, which is basically a 2 pickup Musicmaster. This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings and a medium-low action. All hardware and electronics are in good working order including the truss rod which works correctly. There is light lacquer checking throughout the finish and numerous small scuffs and dings as well as some arm wear on the edge of the upper bout and the initials of the nephew of the original owner. It's an amazing guitar to play and it sounds fantastic. The first production run had ash bodies, with black paint on their aluminum pickguards.
